Our formal server rules and guidelines are currently a work in progress and will be published here as they are developed. In the meantime, there are a few principles that sit at the heart of The Moonstone Chronicle and the kind of community we hope to cultivate.
Intent, Creativity & Collaboration
Above all, we believe in approaching roleplay with good intentions, an open mind and a willingness to create something together.
This is a collaborative storytelling environment. Every character, interaction and decision contributes to a much larger, ever-evolving narrative. We encourage players to embrace creativity, explore interesting ideas, and give others the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the stories unfolding around them.
We ask that everyone approach one another with consideration, communicate openly, and remember that there are real people behind every character. Our aim is to create an environment where players feel comfortable exploring their ideas, taking creative risks and building stories together.
We value the spirit behind an action just as much as the action itself. Not every situation will have a straightforward answer, and not every interaction will unfold as expected. We encourage players to exercise good judgement, be mindful of their fellow storytellers and approach situations with the intention of making the experience enjoyable for everyone involved.
Have Questions?
If you're ever unsure about something, have an idea you'd like to discuss, or simply want a little clarification, please don't hesitate to reach out!
Our staff team is always happy to answer questions, talk through ideas and help you find your footing. You're welcome to join our Discord community and have a chat with us. We'd much rather you ask than feel uncertain.
The formal rules will be arriving soon. Until then, bring your creativity, your curiosity and your willingness to tell a story together.
After all, the Chronicle is written by all of us.
